East then South then South then East In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3

Current Mood:Cool emoticon Cool

So last night  kicked off with the first of four Coheed and Cambria gigs.

The band rocked The Second Stage Turbine Blade in its entirety (minus Elf Tower New Mexico) including IRO-bot and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3, Welcome Home and No World for Tomorrow as an Encore. It was amazingly awesome!

Aimon, Amy and I set off from out comfy hotel room at about 6:15 hoping to make it to the Astoria before the queues moved and we were bang on time. We met Russman outside “EAT.” and then there was some confusion regarding the nature of the tickets, people didn’t know if they were VIPs or not. Regardless, we managed to get in, get shiny laminates and rock to the front of the venue.

Kicking off with Time Consumer, blazing into Devil in Jersey City, rocking through Everything Evil and then crashing onto Delirium Trigger (the only song Amy wanted to hear). Breaking away for a quick pause we heard that there was a camera man knocking about filming for a DVD, so the crowd gave it their all. We then moved through Hearshot Kid Disaster, 33, Junesong Provision, Neverender and finally God Send Conspirator. The crowd finished off the night by singing along to the instrumental, much to the delight of the band!

It was really amazing to be in a gig where you knew everyone was there for the headliners. there were no posers, no non-fans, no haters. Everyone who was there, wanted to be there and it was amazing.

After the gig we hung around for a while and Amy managed to ninje four plectrums from the Guitar Tech/Guy who supported Coheed. It was awesome, although the plectrums are just Generic yellow, they were Claudio’s plectrums!

In all it was a brilliantly memorable night and I cannot wait till tonight when we rock hard to In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3.

Till Then, XD
